Celebrating 30 Years

Three Decades of Dads & Sons

In 1996, a small group of Orange County dads pitched a few tents, lit a campfire, and started something they didn't fully realize would still be going strong thirty years later. Since that first season, Mighty Creek has passed the paddle from father to son, campout to campout — through hundreds of circle meetings, dozens of skits gone sideways, and more graduations than anyone can count. Same creek, same crew spirit, thirty years of memories deep.

100 Years of Adventure Guides

Built on a century of dads and kids outdoors

For 100 years, Adventure Guides has been answering one timeless call: to bring fathers and sons together through the power of time, adventure, and shared experiences. Across generations, families have gathered around campfires, explored the outdoors, embraced new challenges, and created stories that live far beyond a single day or season.

A century of laughter, lessons, traditions, and unforgettable moments has built a legacy unlike any other. What began as a simple idea—that the greatest gift a father can give his child is his presence—has grown into a movement that continues to connect generations and strengthen families.

Today, Mighty Creek proudly carries that legacy forward as a vibrant and dedicated part of the Adventure Guides tradition. Through our circle meetings, adventures, ceremonies, and countless moments shared between fathers and sons, Mighty Creek continues to embody the spirit that has defined Adventure Guides for a century: connection, leadership, friendship, and a commitment to creating memories that last a lifetime.

As we celebrate 100 years of Adventure Guides, we honor those who came before us, celebrate the adventures happening today, and look ahead to the many memories still waiting to be made. The names may change, the campsites may change, and the adventures may evolve, but the mission remains the same:

Fathers and sons. Side by side. Creating memories that last a lifetime.
